LONDON – Detectives investigating the devastating fire in London’s Grenfell Tower have revealed that the front door of one of the apartments on the lower floors, which do not prey fell to the flames, did not meet the safety requirements. The door that has been tested, had the fire a half hour to stop but succumbed after a quarter of an hour.
Minister of Housing, Sajid Javid has, according to the magazine the Guardian the British parliament on Thursday promised that the government has ordered for more tests. Javid said that there is no evidence that everywhere the hand is lifted with the fire protection and prevention.
By the conflagration in the 67-metre-high building came in June last year 71 people were killed.
