“Trainspotting”director Danny Boyle is the 25th James Bond film directing. That is also the fifth and final film with actor Daniel Craig in the lead role.
Film studios MGM and Eon had Boyle been a while on the eye. Boyle, also known as the director of the award-winning “Slumdog Millionaire” (8 Oscars), adorned at the top of the list of candidates. Also for “Skyfall” in 2012 and “Spectre” from 2015 was Boyle being considered as a director.
Boyle has a condition to the 007-franchise: John Hodge, the screenwriter with whom he collaborated in previous films, “Trainspotting” and “The Beach”, the screenplay for the new Bond film take care.
