Michal Kwiatkowski has the Tirreno-Adriatico to his name. The Team Sky rider held in the last stage his team mate Geraint Thomas behind him. Rohan Dennis (BMC) won the final time trial. Tiesj Benoot rode a hell of a time trial and finished as fourth in the final standings. The young Gentenaar of Lotto-Soudal wins so of course the young rider classification;.
Rohan Dennis (BMC) took the final time trial 10.05 km in San Benedetto del Tronto in 11:14. The Dutchman Jos van Emden finished four seconds as the second, the Spaniard Jonathan Castroviejo on for eight seconds in third.
The first place in the overall standings of Michal Kwiatkowski was no longer in danger. The Pool keeps the Italian Damiano Caruso (0:24) and the British Geraint Thomas (0:32). Tiesj Benoot is fourth at 1:06. Kwiatkowski follows on the hall of fame, the Colombian Nairo Quintana.
