BERLIN – Turkey wishes that Germany does more to attacks on mosques in Germany to avoid. Ankara had the German ambassador trotted out to him that by means of a protestbrief to share, according to German media Tuesday.
Following are several attacks on islamic places of worship in the last days. The background thereof is not clear but may have to do with the Turkish offensive against Kurds in the northwest of Syria.
In the eyes of Ankara does Berlin have little to apprehend criminals and new attacks. The German government would be more sensitive to the subject, Turkey.
It is not clear whether the ambassador was asked to come along, or officially summoned. That last would be a sharper reprimand.
