André Hazes was only ten years old when he on the 27th of september 2004 with catchy words to say goodbye to his illustrious father and a packed Amsterdam ArenA silently got during his impressive uitvaartplechtigheid. Dreetje is meanwhile André has become, and after years of successful carpentry to his own musical story, he is now also on for his first major solo concert in Flanders. A logical step, because André Hazes built in Flanders a solid fanbasis by o.a. his successful passes on The Schlagerfestival in Hasselt, in several concerts throughout Flanders, it’s highly praised lp duet, ‘Say no more’ with “our” Christoff and his hit single “to Live”, which was also in Flanders already became a real classic. “Tonight (Saturday) I was a guest in the palace of sports at the concert of Jan Smit, so I’m sure all peek at the neighbors,” laughs André Hazes. “On the outside see the Lotto Arena is already very impressive, let alone when that’s going to be, hopefully, filled to the brim. André Hazes scored as a 13-year-old his first hit in 2007 with “Thank you My Friend”, a posthumous duet with his father. In 2014 he released his first solo album ‘My Best Friend’. Subsequently, he was member of the jury to see it in the SBS program of ‘Blood Sweat and Tears’, a search for Folk singers. The big breakthrough in the Netherlands, when André Hazes song “I Live My Own Life” played for the tv program ‘The Best Singers’. It earned him his first number 1 hit, and more than 6 million views on YouTube.
Flanders taught André know in the Hasselt Ethias Arena, during The pop music festival. There he laid the foundation for his friendship with Christoff, which later translated in the successful duetsingle ‘Say no more’. Duets sang André also been with the Flemish singers Lindsay (‘Step’) and Lissa Lewis (‘Rhythm of the rain’). With Lissa, he sang this duet even, bobbing in a small boat, for Willem-Alexander and Máxima, the Dutch king and queen. `
André Hazes was the forerunner of his second album ‘Living’, the eponymous single. The song became a gigantic hit in the Netherlands and Flanders. André is also a permanent artist in the concert series “Holland Sings Hazes’ and which passes gave him the necessary confidence for his two sold-out solo concerts in the AFAS Live in Amsterdam. These were at the beginning of January 2017 in no time sold out. In October 2017, followed with two even bigger-ranging concerts in Rotterdam Ahoy and those shows were packed.
