MADRID – The candidate for the prime minister of the Spanish region of Catalonia, which is currently in place, should the cell not to the vote in parliament to attend. It comes to Jordi Sánchez last month by the slain leader Carles Puigdemont pushed as a substitute.
The Spanish supreme court ruled Friday that Sánchez is not allowed to use his cell to leave. The politician is stuck in awaiting trial because of his involvement in the illegal proclamation of the independence of Catalonia last year.
The Catalan parliament is expected Monday on a new government vote.
