The formerly progressive American rock band Utopia, a vehicle around singer and guitarist, Todd Rundgren, is reuniting for a tour throughout North America and brings a cd box set featuring classic material. That has Classic Rock Magazine reported today.

Utopia was formed in 1973 and, in 1976, a stable band of Todd Rundgren. The most well-known albums include “Oops! Wrong Planet”, and “Set me Free” was in 1980’s a single hit. In 1986, the song was sung, there were several short-lived reunions.

So will Rundgren, Kasim Sulton (bass and vocals), Willie Wilcox (drums) and Ralph Schuckett (keyboards) from april 18th through North America tour, their first concert tour there since 32 years. There are 33 stops, the last on June 5 in the California Riverside.

On april 20, will appear at Friday Music, the cd-box “The Road To Utopia: The Complete Recordings 1974-82”. Which contains the seven classic albums of Utopia, as it should be, additional stuff such as newly written commentary by the band.
