Kimi were times on the last day in his Ferrari to the fastest time driven, the Fin was nearly the track record of team-mate Sebastian Vettel yesterday. At McLaren, there were again problems for Fernando Alonso, though, the Spaniard eventually in to the second time to drive.
Yesterday gave Sebastian Vettel his business card in his Ferrari the track record at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona to pulverize. Today wanted to team-mate Kimi were times not simply because in a time of 1:17.221 he was not only the fastest, he was just a few hundredths slower than Vettel yesterday.
Again, satisfied faces and so at Ferrari but at McLaren, that will this morning, not been the case. After the very successful and productive day of our compatriot Stoffel Vandoorne yesterday, team-mate Fernando Alonso this morning after barely an hour of testing came to a halt. Again was a spill on the basis of the problem with the McLaren MCL33. The Spaniard even had no timed lap put.
Less good news there was also a note in the factory team of Renault. The past few days was the renstal very productive but in the morning there was detected a problem with the gearbox of Carlos Sainz ‘ car. Sainz had to, just like fellow countryman Fernando Alonso for hours watching how the other riders were testing. With Alonso it was because McLaren decided the entire engine to be replaced.
When Ferrari got Kimi were times under steam. Around 12: 30 pm let the Fin the absolute besttijd of the day, write it down. With a time of 1:17.221 was were times in just 39 thousandths slower than the track record of Vettel on Thursday.
Were times went with a good feeling lunch but when Sauber was slightly less the case. The image below predicted, after all, very little good, and the mechanics of the Swiss team were running to the car of Charles Leclerc get ready for the afternoon.
A little after 14h, we saw Alonso after his motorwissel again on the job. It turned out to be the beginning of a very productive afternoon for Alonso and McLaren. The Spaniard succeeded in bringing his rondentotaal to float up to 93 laps, and he left it the second time. All in all, still a positive shutoff valve for Alonso and McLaren.
Ferrari the past few days with a lot of attention, also for Mercedes, it was today a very productive day. Bottas and Hamilton reason, respectively, 104 and 97 laps, which equates to 201 laps in total. What the lap times are concerned let Mercedes with a sixth and eleventh period of time is clearly not in her cards look.
After today, the preparatory work on it, and the teams quickly return to their factories to get the latest updates and preparations for the first race of the new season to work. Within barely two weeks of that already in place in Melbourne, Australia. There rest of the teams but had very little time to return to the factory, and then the other side of the world to search.
