SEOUL – South Korea and the United States at the beginning of april a joint military exercise that was postponed due to the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. That has a security adviser to South Korean president to news agency Yonhap said.
“The exercises will start in the first week of april,” said Moon Chung-in during a seminar in Washington. “If there are discussions between the US and North Korea before the exercises begin, there would be a compromise on which exercises can be closed.”
South Korea and the US hold their joint exercises, usually in march and april, with some 17.000 American troops and more than 300,000 South Korean soldiers participate.
