Jolien D’hoore takes silver at world CHAMPIONSHIPS scratch: “Something waited too long, but Wild and strong”

Jolien D’hoore has silver caught on the world cup scratch race in the Dutch Apeldoorn. Our compatriot responded late on a failure of the Dutch medefavoriete Kirsten Wild. D’hoore dashed off to silver for the Danish Dideriksen.

It was a lively match with a lot of movement on the road. Half price there was a first attack of the Danish Dideriksen and the Dutch Wild, two of the favorietes. Jolien D’hoore responded thoughtful. Ten laps from the end there came an attack of the Irish Gurley, the reaction came from the Austrian Eberhardt. Archibald and Wild made for regrouping, but the Dutch immediately caught by. D’hoore responded too late so Wild solo to the world title could drive away. D’hoore won the sprint for silver from the Danish Dideriksen.

”I amaze myself”, responded D’hoore afterwards. “Rarely, I felt so good on the piste. I looked aware of the cat from the tree. When Kirsten Wild attacked, I thought that Archibald would react. She did not and so I responded with Dideriksen. I have something waited too long, but should be able to admit that Kirsten is very strong. My WK has started well. Without a medal, I wanted under no circumstances to the house, and that was successful.’
