World champion MotoGP Marc Marquez extends contract with Repsol Honda

Marc Marquez (25), the reigning world champion in the MotoGP, has put his signature under a contract for two additional seasons at Repsol Honda. The agreement now runs off in 2020. That have the pilot and the team announced Monday.

The Spaniard, since 2013 at Repsol Honda, won already four times the world championship title in the MotoGP class (2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017). Also crowned he was crowned world champion in the Moto2 (2012) and 125cc (2010).

“I’m very happy my contract to be able to extend with the team of my dreams. I will 100% continue to give”, tweette Marquez.

“Marc Marquez has been consistently demonstrated his limits, and has developed as a rider. He has Honda a lot of titles donated,” said team boss Yoshishige Nomura. “We could see the renewal of the contract as early as to announce, in view of the mutual trust and our common passion for racing.”

The new MotoGP season starts on march 26 with the GP of Qatar.
