Pep Guardiola poses with the trophy.
Coach Pep Guardiola called the injury of Fernandinho a heavy setback for his team. The 32-year-old Brazilian is this season one of the load-bearing forces and played so far all the matches in the Premier League.
“It is a big loss and I need to find a solution for his position. He misses the next games, but the severity of the injury should Monday be fixed,” said the Spanish coach.
Manchester City is 13 points ahead of the number two in the state, fellow-townsman Manchester United. The ‘Citizens’ to play next week against Arsenal and Chelsea.
