Stolen painting after nine years found on bus in Paris

‘Les Choristes’, a well-known painting by the French painter Edgar Degas, was nine years ago, stolen from the Cantini museum in Marseille. The painting, with an estimated value of 800,000 euros, was then loaned by the Musée d’orsay in Paris. The French police found the painting back during a random check of a bus. The artwork will next year have a special place in an exhibition about Degas.
