CAIRO – German and Egyptian archaeologists have in the city of Minya, a certain 2500-year-old necropolis unearthed. The cemetery contains dozens of sarcophagi, more than a thousand small statues, a golden mask and many other objects.
Minya is located about 250 kilometers south of the Egyptian capital of Cairo. Minister of Antiquities Chaled al-Enani said Saturday that started last year with the uncovering of the necropolis, and that there is still at least five years is necessary for the research to finish.
