Villarreal has defender Ruben Semedo indefinitely suspended after he by the Spanish justice is indicted for an attempt to murder, theft and illegal possession of weapons.
“The club wants to his dismay show after the serious crimes that Semedo imputed by the court”, says Villarreal on Friday in a statement on his own website. “With respect to the chance of his innocence, the club has decided to encourage the player to suspend his salary to stop until a definitive solution is in the process.”
Semedo was early this week arrested. He would together with a few others, a man threatened with a gun. The police found the firearm in the home of Semedo.
According to the manager of Semedo is the player highlighted. “He has not in the best possible way to respond, but he was himself the victim”, said the deputy Thursday on the Portuguese tv. “It is not true that he has been guilty of kidnapping and assault. The gun is not of him, even in his home is found.”
