Kittel could win: in Abu Dhabi, he and a strip thickness beaten by Bauhaus

The German Phil Bauhaus (Sunweb) Friday the third stage in the Tour of Abu Dhabi (WorldTour) to his name. Bauhaus defeated after 133 flat kilometers between Nation Towers and Big Flag, his fellow countryman, Marcel Kittel, in a millimeterspurt. Kittel could since his move to Katusha still not win.

With Pascal Ackermann (BORA-hansgrohe), in third place was the German stage all the way completed. The Italian rider Elia Viviani (Quick-Step) finished fourth and remains the leader.

Saturday awaits the riders in Abu Dhabi, a time trial of 12.6 kilometers in and around Al Maryah Island. The Tour of Abu Dhabi ends on Sunday with a finish on top at Jebel Hafeet.

Last year was out of the race in Abu Dhabi for the Portuguese Rui Costa.
