FA complains City manager Guardiola to wear yellow ribbon

Manager Josep Guardiola is on Friday by the English football association FA sued for wearing a yellow ribbon during the games of his team Manchester City.

Guardiola has the ribbon already for a while on his trainerspak spelled in competitions. In the rules of the FA state that political messages on and all along the football field are prohibited.

The 47-year-old Spaniard is wearing the ribbon as a support for the Catalan politicians who have been arrested since the unrest has broken out in the region where he was born. The FA gave him several formal warnings and went in december with him in conversation.

The FA now decided to act because Guardiola the ribbon on Monday, wore during the surprising defeat in the FA Cup match with Wigan Athletic. He has until Monday the 5th of march the time to respond to the complaint.

At the end of last year, the City manager all agree that the medal he received a message of support to Catalan politicians that are stuck. “If it happens, then anyone can be arrested,” he said at the time.

“Hopefully I can ever stop wearing this ribbon”, he continued. “But until they are released, will that not be the case. She lets me suspend, but other people sit in jail.”

Manchester City go into the Premier League firmly on head. The advantage on the number two to Manchester United is sixteen points.
