BRUSSELS – The European Union calls on the warring parties around the Syrian region of Eastern Ghouta on an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid. The 28 member states call on the international community, including Russia, at the request of the UN for a cease-fire to support.
“The EU has gradually become no words more to the horrible events to describe the people in Eastern Ghouta experience”, in a statement. “The Syrian regime should immediately stop its own people as the target. It is the responsibility of us all to further loss of lives and to prevent the violence to stop. Unhindered humanitarian access and the protection of civilians is a moral imperative and an urgent matter.”
