Soft Cell coming in september is still a time together for a farewell concert in London. That members are Dave Ball and Marc Almond. The duo was at the beginning of the eighties, successful with hits like “Tainted Love” and the Torch.

In 1984, kept a Ball, and Almond Soft Cell. Three years earlier they celebrated their final breakthrough with the cover of “Tainted Love”. Then followed a few minor hits, including Torch. That song did it in the Netherlands too.
After their split was Ball a successful producer. Almond had a moderately successful solo career. In the late eighties, he scored hits with Tears Run Rings, and Something’s Gotten Hold of My Heart, a duet with Gene Pitney.
Soft Cell came in 2001 and 2005 together for a reunion. In the autumn of this year, do they do that for the very last time in London. “With Soft Cell I always had the feeling that it was shutting down”, let Almond know. “That’s going to happen now. It is a beautiful farewell and a statement.”
