Russian opposition leader Navalny after hours is released

MOSCOW – The Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny last Thursday, about an hour passed. He was arrested because of organizing unauthorized protests. ,,I don’t know why I am arrested and why I was being held by seven people,” said Navalni on Twitter.

Navalny reported his own arrest on Twitter and Instagram. A half hour earlier, his campaign manager Leonid Volkov already arrested at an airport in Moscow. Or Volkov also is released, is not known. He was on the way to the republic of Basjkirostan to be there monitoring the elections to organize.

The arrest comes a few weeks before the Russian elections of 18 march. Navalny was already excluded from participation because of a previous conviction. According to Navalny, he has that penalty for political reasons.
