VALENCIA – The Spanish justice has defender Rúben Semedo of Villarreal indicted for an attempt to murder, theft and illegal possession of weapons.
The 23-year-old Portuguese was early this week arrested. Semedo would together with a few others, a man threatened with a gun. The police found the firearm in the home of Semedo.
Villarreal paid last summer for 14 million euros to Sporting lisbon to Semedo to take over. The Portuguese jeugdinternational was partly due to injuries, however, barely in action for the Spanish club.
According to the manager of Semedo is the player highlighted. ,,He has not in the best possible way to respond, but he himself was the victim,” said the agent on the Portuguese tv. ,,It is not true that he has been guilty of kidnapping and assault. The gun is not of him, even in his home is found.”
Semedo appeared Thursday before the court. Who held that there was sufficient reason for the soccer player provisionally behind the bars to keep. Villarreal and wait for the developments.
