Architect Rem Koolhaas, in France, the Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres. This is the highest French award which is awarded as recognition for an exceptional contribution to artistic or literary field. The tribute he was assigned by the French Minister of Culture, Françoise Nyssen.
They praised during the ceremony, Koolhaas for “the training of new talents, support of cultural diversity, and assisting the access of citizens to the arts.”
The ceremony took place on 8 February this year, but the architectural firm OMA released the news only on Wednesday to the outside.
