SEVILLA – Manager José Mourinho and Manchester United has no special expectations of the performance of Paul Pogba Wednesday in the duel in the Champions League with Sevilla.
The Frenchman, who in 2016 for a record price was achieved, resumed Tuesday training after he due to illness was missing in the cup match against Huddersfield Town.
Pogba has in recent years not much to show, but Mourinho do not expect anything extra from the player against Sevilla. “A player who has a certain amount of work, don’t have less to do than someone where we three times more to pay for. I don’t like this approach. I choose my players are also not on the basis of age, salary or the transferbedrag. That’s not fair,” said the Portuguese coach.
Mourinho knows that United are not the favourites to the Champions League to win. “But when I was with Porto won, I also had a young and inexperienced team. We need to realize that everything is possible.”
