The British branch of the aid agency Oxfam is investigating 26 new complaints about sexual misconduct by its employees.
The existence of the new complaints was confirmed today by Mark Goldring, the director-general of Oxfam in Great Britain, during a hearing in the British parliament. Sixteen of the complaints have to do with international programs of our department, the rest played itself out in the United Kingdom itself. Some of them relate to recent events, others are already a bit older, ” said Goldring during the session.
The aid organization get already a week and a half a lot of criticism to handle, since it has come out that a Belgian employee of the organization in Haiti regularly paid for having sex with local prostitutes.
