Special prosecutor Robert Mueller has new ammunition in its investigation into manipulation of the U.s. presidential election. Lawyer Alex Van Der Zwaan, must be brought to answer for the lies about his contacts with the entourage of Donald Trump.
That is Tuesday, leaked in the American media. Van Der Zwaan would lie about his last contact with Rick Gates, the former campaign manager of Trump. It is expected that the lawyer is guilty will plead.
Van Der Zwaan would be so far concealed that his office in 2012 in Ukraine was active in the run up to the trial against former president, Julia Timoshenko. He would, according to CNN, an excuse, also refused to have his e-mail traffic to make it accessible to the attorney.
Van Der Zwaan is also the son-in-law of the Russian oligarch German Khan, writes the Washington Post.
The activities of van Der Zwaan would be relevant because the case against Timoshenko was initiated by her successor, Viktor Janoekovitsj, who sent her away close for a gasdeal with Russia. Janoekovitsj in turn had good contacts with Paul Manafort another former campagnemedewerker of Trump.
