Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA 154) has Monday placed for the main table of the WTA-tournament in the Hungarian capital Budapest (hardcourt/ $ 250,000).
The 23-year-old from Liège, tapped Monday in the second and final qualifying round, the 19-year-old Slovakian, Viktoria Kuzmova (WTA 121), after nearly 2.5 hours of tennis in three sets (6-7 (8/10), 7-6 (7/4) and 6-3). Bonaventure survived in the second sets (4-5) two wedstrijdballen.
On the main table joined Bonaventure Kirsten Flipkens (WTA 67) and Alison Van Uytvanck (WTA 80). Flipkens hits in the first round of the Romanian Monica Niculescu (WTA 75). In the mutual confrontation leads Flipkens 4-3. The Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin (WTA 95) is the first tegenstreefster van Uytvanck. It is their second duel on the circuit. Dodin defeated our compatriot in 2016 in Quebec on carpet.
Also in doubles, two Belgian women have been enrolled. Flipkens is, on the side of the Swedish Johanna Larsson, the first seed. Bonaventure plays together with the Hungarian Jani Reka-Luca.
