Peter van der Vorst: “Pa died of a broken heart.”

A tough week for Peter van der Vorst. The 46-year-old TV presenter lost out in one week’s time, his mother and his father.

Hospice

Both of his parents of Van der Vorst layers in a hospice because they were a long time sick. His mother, who was suffering with cancer, died last week Sunday at the age of 77. Last Saturday died, his 82-year-old father, a stroke has had.

“How hard it is for my brother and for me also, we are happy that they are now together again,” says the presenter of RTL Boulevard to The Telegraph.

Broken heart

Van der Vorst let Facebook know intensely sad, but also happy that she no longer had to suffer. “It was an unreal period, now my father is still in the hospice is located. Fortunately, they were both fantastic taken care of.”

The RTL presenter thinks that the death of his father has to do with the lack of his mother. “Pa died from the effects of his illness and a broken heart. As a real gentleman, he has his wife to let go. He is peacefully asleep.”
