At the presentation of the BAFTA’s, the most important British film awards, the Dutch nominees in addition to the award caught. Paul Verhoeven, cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema and make-upartist Arjen Spouts had a chance at a BAFTA.
Director Verhoeven was with its success, Elle was nominated in the category best foreign film. The award, however, went to The Handmaiden of the South-Korean director Park Chan-wook.
Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema was nominated in the category of cinematography for his work in the war drama Dunkirk. Roger Deakins went with the price to get for his contribution to Blade Runner, 2049.
Arjen Spouts made as a make-upartist chance at a BAFTA. The price, however, went to David Malinowski, Ivana Primorac, Lucy Sibbick and Kazuhiro Tsuji for their work for the British succesfilm Darkest Hour.
