HARRISBURG – the supreme court of the Us state of Pennsylvania has itself new constituencies drawn up for the mid-term losses. The court ruled last month that the old composition of the districts the Republicans are unfairly favoured. The Democrats and Republicans did not then reach agreement on an alternative.
The court engaged independent experts to assist in the design of the new constituencies. The Democratic governor, Tom Wolf had previously denied approval of a proposal from Republicans in his state. Wolf found the kieskaart where the Republicans along came to be unfavourable to his own party.
The messing around with constituencies in the United States known as ‘gerrymandering’. It means that parliaments of some states periodically constituencies customize. Some parties exploit for political gain.
