Sunday in Los Angeles the traditional NBA All-Star Game, but on Saturday there is always something to do during the annual All-Star Weekend. Such as the spectacular Slam Dunk Contest.
That was a prey for Donovan Mitchell, a rookie with the Utah Jazz. Striking because the guard was originally not selected but fell in for the injured Aaron Gordon. Mitchell brought a lot of nostalgia on the parquet with, among other things, a shirt of an ex-winner Vince Carter. He took it from Larry Nance Jr. (Cleveland), Dennis Smith Jr. (Dallas) and Victor Oladipo (Indiana).
The Three-Point Contest was won by Phoenix player Devin Booker. The guard scored 28 points in the final, a record, and won, among other Klay Thompson (Golden State).
