Nearly 200 British and Irish actresses in the run-up to the Bafta’s, the British film and televisieprijzen, a letter signed against sexual violence in the workplace and equal wages. The letter is published in the weekly magazine the Observer and is signed by, among others, Emma Watson, Carey Mulligan, Emma Thompson and Saoirse Ronan. The signatories say that they were inspired by the Time’s Up movement in the United States, an organization by women in Hollywood was founded for the defense of victims of sexual aggression at work to finance it. They are calling for money to donate to a new British fund for justice and equality. . Emma Watson has one million Pounds donated to a fund that victims of sexual violence supports.
