The science-fiction film Blade Runner, 2049, and the Netflix series The Crown have Saturday won awards at the presentation of the ASC Awards, organized by the American Society of Cinematographers.
The camera work of the British cinematographer Roger Deakins for Blade Runner 2049 received an award in the category of Theatrical Release. Just like the Bafta’s also apply to the ASC Awards as the benchmark for the presentation of the Oscars in march. In the past 21 years, won thirteen ASC-winners also an Academy Award (Oscar) for best cinematography.
