Anderlecht remains in the corner where the blows fall. It lost after an insipid display from STVV and should even be glad that it but 1-0 was at Stayen. So connect the purple-white a turbulent week with a second defeat in a row. Anderlecht could make all five matches, not win and is in danger of his third losing to AA Gent.
Anderlecht started again with a lot of youngsters on the bench, but only one surprising name in the squad. Alexandru Chipicu was the surprise of the chef QTY. The Romanian started on the right side, Ryota Morioka fell next to the basiself. The young men Amuzu, Dauda, Bornauw, Saelemaekers and Dante were sitting on the couch. At STVV chose Jonas De Roeck for a conservative set-up with Botaka and Vetokele on the bank.
Anderlecht started well in the competition, but that didn’t seem to count for the remainder of football fans from Brussels. After fifteen minutes of play threw a part of the fans, firecrackers and smoke bombs on the field. Intervention of the stadionomroeper did not help, because the smoke is not quickly pulled saw referee Verboomen was forced to contest a ten-minute halt.
After the interruption had the players it is clearly difficult to get back into the pace, but it was STVV that the annoying interruption, the best had consumed. After half an hour came to the Canaries – fully deserved – lead. Chuba Akpom, the mercenary Arsenal took from outside the sixteen off with a scrubber. Matz Sels was not helped by his defense, and was beaten: 1-0 for STVV.
Anderlecht again KO, but on the stroke of peace could be even something heavier. The ball went on the spot after referee Verboomen hands had seen in Josue Sa, but Akpom failed and saw his (unjustified) team credentials and stay up stopped by Sels. So there was the 1-0 still on the board halfway through after a strange first period.
In the second half, however, will not relieve for Anderlecht. There were also the babies of Hein nothing more to change, because Mohammed Dauda and Alexis Saelemaekers were thrown to the lions. Just as Ryota Morioka, but the sunken Japanese could make no difference. Anderlecht should however be satisfied that it is only 1-0 was because of Jonathan Legear received the ball from a sharp angle just not in.
This keeps Anderlecht provisionally third, but as a Gent this weekend win of KV Mechelen, is purple and white the third place lost to the Buffalo’s. STVV jumps in turn to the eighth place and stay in the running for Play-off 1.
