FC Groningen-trainer Ernest Faber is not afraid that the clubleiding during this season instead of next summer, say bye to him.
“What shall I say? A year and a half ago it was already hard. I was the first trainer that looks like it should go, but I’m still there. Weeds don’t die. We are still alive because we as a group are performing,” says the 46-year-old Resident Friday night after the 1-1 draw against VVV-Venlo for the camera of the NOS.
“The players stand behind the staff and vice versa. Everyone needs to go. We go every week to a good result. Within the group it is quiet. The only thing we can do is our attention.”
Faber and FC Groningen decided at the end of last month in good mutual consultation about a half a year apart, but in the Soccer international was published Wednesday a story that Faber quarrelling with technical manager Ron Jans, which the rumors about an early departure aanzwengelden.
“We’re just going to be very professional with each other”, pointed Faber that sounds to the realm of fable. “It is true, however, that we do not see daily, but we speak to each other regularly to keep things consistent. That is also important for a good result.”
