THE HAGUE – the Afghans have in three months ‘ time, 1.17 million reports with the International criminal Court (ICC), which examines whether a case can be open because of possible war crimes in the country.
The notifications are about alleged crimes, not only by the Taliban and Islamic State, but also by the Afghan security forces, warlords with ties to the Afghan government, the United States-led coalition and spionagediensten.
Many of the reports about incidents involving multiple casualties, by suicide bombings, assassinations or raids, said a spokesperson of human rights organization HREVO against the newspaper The Independent.
