The BinckBank Tour on August 13, 2018 start in the Dutch Heerenveen. Just like last year, is the arrival six days later in Geraardsbergen. That has the organization behind the only WorldTour-wielerronde in the Low Countries, Friday announced.
In Bolsward place on Sunday, August 12, the ploegenpresentatie place. The Frisian municipality is also the arrival of the favourites, that on Monday with a ‘Grand Départ’ in Heerenveen start, and by the flat Friesland along some of the famous Elfstedentocht-municipalities. A day later, the time trialists to prepare for a short, but powerful time trial of 13 miles in and around Venray, with start and arrival in the heart of the Dutch Limburg city.
On Wednesday, August 15, the peloton goes to Belgium. From starting location Aalter, the ride to Antwerp, where the riders have a piece of the trail of the Belgian championship of 2017 wait. Blankenberge-Ardooie, on Thursday, is a classic in the BinckBank Tour. Last year’s champion Peter Sagan was the winner. On Friday crossed the peloton Belgium from Sint-Pieters-Leeuw in the Pajottenland in Lanaken.
For the final weekend draws the largest wielerronde van the Low Countries into the hills. On Saturday, connects the drive between Riemst and Sittard-Geleen Belgian with Dutch Limburg. Along the way are the well-known spicy slopes, and the arrival is in the Tom Dumoulin Bike Park. on Sunday, start the pack on the Lacs de l’eau d’heure, and the final on the legendary Muur, Bosberg and Denderoordberg with the finish on the Jackets.
“The course is also now fully in the character of our philosophy: a perfect stage race for the real “classic” rider,” explains Nick Van Den Bosch of organiser Golazo. “Especially in the final weekend the top riders of the classics make their mark on the contest button.”
Last year picked up the Dutchman Tom Dumoulin the stage win.
