For the Albanian club KF Skenderbeu is a long exclusion from European football. The European football association UEFA has Friday a new investigation into matchfixing in the current leader of the Albanian league.
Two years ago, Skenderbeu also already punished for matchfixing. The former champion of Albania in case when one season is no European football to play.
From the so-called fraudedetectiesysteem of the UEFA shows that the involvement of Skenderbeu in matchfixing is much larger than was thought.
Staff members of the UEFA research in the matter, received anonymous death threats. The European bond sees this as harassment, intended to be the research to stop. UEFA has reported to the police.
“We will never allow that UEFA employees are threatened,” said president Aleksander Ceferin. “Our people have the full support of the organization. I stand 100 percent behind them.”
This season did Skenderbeu participate in the Europa League. The club from the Albanian municipality of Korçe was in the group stage turned off. In a group with Dinamo Kiev, Partizan Belgrade and the Young Boys ended it with five points as the last.
