Actor and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to play a role in the actiekomedie ‘Kung Fury’. He takes in the film the role of American president. That reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The original ‘Kung Fury’ was a cheap and comical ‘over the top’ tribute to the martial arts – and politiefilms from the 80’s. The short film debuted at the Cannes film Festival in 2015 and appeared in may 2015 on YouTube. The movie, 31 minutes long, it gathered a huge cult following and went on YouTube, has almost 30 million views.
The first ‘Kung Fury’ was completely funded by crowdfunding and was, therefore, absolutely low-budget. Writer, director, and lead actor David Sandberg sees it this time bigger. The new ‘Kung Fury’ is a film on full-length with a cast full of famous names. In addition to Schwarzenegger knew Sandberg also Michael Fassbender and David Hasselhof to play.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the iconic ‘Governator’, known from ‘Terminator’, ‘Predator’ and ‘Total Recall’, the American president going to play in the new actiekomedie. The pictures find this summer in Europe and the United States.
The Swedish filmmaker Sandberg will also occur again as the protagonist and hero of the film.
