The Formula 1 is introducing this year a new initiative to bring the sport closer to the fans to bring: the ‘Formula 1 Pirelli Hot Laps’.
Yourself behind the wheel in an exclusive sports car sitting there for clarity, not in, but the fans will get the chance to be in a so-called ‘supercar’ of the circuit allowed to drive.
Aston Martin and McLaren are the first two partners who are joining in the new initiative of the Formula 1. Fans will have the chance to ride in a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8, Aston Martin Vantage or a McLaren 720S.
Red Bull F1 drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen will be the Aston Martin driving while McLaren test driver Lando Norris or the hard racepiloten Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne in the McLaren 720S will control. Also, two-time F1 champion Mika Hakkinen behind the wheel. The Fin obtained in 1998 and 1999, together with McLaren for the world title.
“The F1 Pirelli Hot Laps are a new chance for the F1 fans closer to the sport and a real experience on the circuit to experience,” said Sean Bratches, the commercial director of Formula 1.
“This is a ‘once in a lifetime’experience, where you at a high speed by a racepiloot about an iconic circuit is driven and that in droomwagens, it is really unique. We want the fans in the first place and this is yet again a proof of that.”
