Viceroy’s House is a very entertaining and provided kostuumdrama the turbulent run-up to the independence of the British crown colony India.
The film begins in 1947, when the last Viceroy , or governor-general of British India, Lord Louis Mountbatten, arrives in his huge new house out of the title. His task: British-Indies without too much bloodshed for independence lead. How difficult that will be evident from the unrest among its staff, where the tensions between muslims, hindus and sikhs continues to rise.
