Lena Dunham has recently underwent a serious surgery in which her uterus and cervix are removed.
The Girlsactress is hoping thus forever put an end to the chronic pains caused by endometriosis, a chronic condition in which the endometrium outside the uterine cavity.
Dunham writes in the march issue of Vogue that she for this invasive treatment chose after years of complex operations” and all sorts of attempts to therapy the pain where they have been suffering to fight.
In april 2017 she thought that after five operations, disease-free, but the 31-year-old did suffer from pain. A month later she was in the hospital and had her tour Lenny IRL in the United States to cancel. “I have the greatest physical pain I have ever experienced”, she said.
Although the actress now no longer have children, she wants to go see what the possibilities are to still have a mother to be. “Soon I will investigate if my ovaries still have eggs. Otherwise, adoption is another exciting option.”
