“Between 17.00 and 18.00 hours he was always completely crazy!”
Eddie Redmayne remembers his former roommate, Jamie Dornan as a young dog. That he told recently in the Late Late Show with James Corden. Jamie was always full of energy.
The two actors have known each other for a very long time and when they have their native England, left in 2008 in Los Angeles to make a name, they went to live together to support one another.
“We were both desperate. We had the same agent and I remember that on the second day a courier arrived with a stack of scripts, about 25”, he began his anecdote on the Late Show. “We, we asked ourselves for whom the scripts were. And they were all for me. Eddie found it not so good, so he called his agent to complain. An hour later came another courier with the same pile of scripts for Eddie.”
Despite all this stress for their big breakthrough, recalls Eddie Redmayne that time, especially because he loved Jamie Dornan. “The amazing thing to life with Jamie is that you feel like you at a young dog lives. He has more energy than any other man.” During the period that they lived together discovered Eddie also something strange about his roommate. “Between 17.00 and 18.00 hours, there is always a moment in which he is completely crazy. Then there must be something, just like in young dogs.” What we had Eddie an anecdote, but then in an interview in the ontbijtshow Good Morning America. “A friend came a time in our home drinking tea and he saw Jamie anywhere to jump. They asked what was going on and I explained to them that it was time for him to leave”, he said.
One thing is for sure, thinks Eddie. At the age of 35, married and with two children, Jamie Dornan is probably a lot less energy. That is, according to him, another point in common between the two actors as Eddie Redmayne, also a second child with his wife Hannah Bagshawe.
