Clarence Seedorf experienced Monday night in a disappointing debut as coach of Deportivo La Coruña by 0-1 lose to Real Betis, but the Dutchman sees plenty of perspective in the Spanish laagvlieger.
“Of course we wanted a different result, but there will be more competitions and we are confident that we are on the right track,” said the 41-year-old Seedorf.
“We are disappointed, but there is a positive attitude and a different energy. I saw a convincing Deportivo. The players are angry, but also know that they many things have done.”
Seedorf, who had previously AC Milan and Shenzhen under his wing, signed last week a contract until the end of the season at Deportivo, which is fighting against relegation.
