Kevin Coster (“Man of Steel”) and Woody Harrelson (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”) have been confirmed for their role in “Highwaymen”, the film around the “Texas Rangers” made an end to the roofduo Bonnie and Clyde. Netflix bought from Universal Studios and the film went into production. The film is directed by John Lee Hancock (“The Founder”).
Costner and Harrelson respectively play the role of Frank Hamer and Manny Gault. Who started as Rangers, but were appointed as special investigators, and had behind the legendary roofduo. Their story, that ended in a deadly ambush of the police, was in 1967, filmed under the title “Bonnie and Clyde” (starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty). Kathy Bates, John Carroll Lynch, and Kim Dickens round out the cast. Costner and Harrelson are executive producers.
