LONDON – The rights for the matches in the Premier League between 2019 and 2022 were sold for 4,46 billion pound, converted about 5 billion euros. The final yield is even higher because two livepakketten even go on sale.
Sky Sports has currently four packages purchased and BT Sports one. The last deal in the Premier League over the period from 2015 to 2019 was 5,14 billion pounds worth. That was 7 billion euros, but at this moment some 5.7 billion euros.
Board chairman Richard Scudamore of the Premier League’s expected that the tv rights go back more to produce because there are still two livepakketten go on sale. “That shows what great football we have”, he responded.
