The Spanish football federation choose on 9 april a successor for Angel Maria Villar, the president who last summer resigned after he was arrested after a major investigation into corruption.
Villar has had since 1988 in charge of the Spanish champions. He explained last year, also, features down to FIFA and UEFA.
Juan Manuel Larrea leads the Spanish football federation at this time as interim president. It is not known whether he is also a candidate. According to Spanish Media consider Manuel Llorente (ex-president of Valencia) and Cesar Sanchez (ex-goalkeeper of Real Madrid) to take part in the elections.
