The defender of Liverpool played Sunday against his old club Southampton and the hometown audience had heard of. Van Dijk stepped up this winter for a record of The Saints to The Reds.
“He did really well and went very well with the situation. We had a chat before the race and I asked him what he thought. ‘No problem boss’. I wanted to make him not nervous and that he was clearly not,” said the German coach. “The crowd is there to make it hard for the opponent, but for him it was not too difficult.”
