Johan Johannsson, the Icelandic composer who’s music he composed for many movies, it is Friday unexpectedly died. He was found dead in his apartment. That reports to his manager Tim Husom Saturday.
Johannsson has composed the music for “Arrival”, “The Theory of Everything” and “Sicario”. In 2014 he was Oscar-, BAFTA – and Grammy-nominations for “The Theory of Everything”. For that film he won a Golden Globe. For his music of “Sicario” he got in a 2015 Oscar nomination.
The police in Berlin is investigating the circumstances of his death. It may be possible later on an autopsy. The Icelandic composer was 48 years.
