The Czech republic has placed itself for the semi-finals of the Fed Cup. Petra Kvitova (WTA 21), the Czech women Sunday in Prague on an impassable 3-0 lead against Switzerland.
Kvitova won the match against Belinda Bencic (ATP 73) in two sets: 6-2 and 6-4. Saturday had Kvitova also already dealt with that Viktorija Golubic (WTA 64), in three sets this time round: 6-2, 1-6 and 6-3. Barbora Strycova (WTA 25) made thereafter on the first race day for the doubling of the score, after a win against Bencic (6-2 and 6-4)).
The Czech republic, five of the last seven Fed Cup editions won, be playing for a place in the final against the winner of the duel between Germany and belarus.
