Jóhann Jóhannsson, one of the most sought composers in Hollywood, Friday at the age of 48 died. That has his manager confirmed.
About the cause of death of the Icelandic composer, who was found in his apartment in Berlin, is, as yet, nothing known. Manager Tim Husom let Variety know that the German authorities investigating the death. Jóhannsson was already a few days missing.
Jóhannsson won a Golden Globe and received an Oscar-, BAFTA – and Grammy-nominations for his music in The Theory of Everything (2014). Also provided are the music in the film Sicario (2015) the Farmer an Oscar-nomination. In October, he was at the World Soundtrack Awards voted best film of the year.
